Meet the Squad
In February of 2018, Tanner Richard Craft had an idea for something big: he would start a production company of his own right here in Saint Louis. He would call it “Bomb Squad”, after a line from a Spider-Man video game.
Tanner listed the name on the poster of several of his independent projects as a joke, but the idea otherwise lay dormant.
Fast forward to January of 2021. With Family Video going out of business, Tanner wanted to make a final video paying respects to the video store era. He needed a team that could shoot, edit, and produce on the fly. He assembled a group of eleven other extremely talented St. Louis based filmmakers, and Bomb Squad Productions was born!
Over the years, the collective has continued to grow and evolve, bringing together the twelve members who make up Bomb Squad today.

For Bomb Squad, Tanner primarily does producing, directing, writing, and acting, and is the primary host of Bomb Squad Matinee. His films include The Cardinals Fan (2018), the award-winning Diagnosis (2019), and the deeply personal Processing... (2023).

A Los Angeles based writer, director, assistant director, and attempted funny-man. His work usually delves into the humorous and absurd. As an assistant director his specialty is keeping all the creative types on track and on schedule, without getting on everyone's bad side.

An animator and artist who became infatuated with animation young, sparked by 1986's The Transformers: The Movie. He specializes in digital traditional animation, and on live-action films tends toward motion graphics and editing. He has lectured on Japanese animation for Webster University and ASIFA Central.

A recent Webster University film graduate and a fresh face in the St. Louis film scene: a total utility player on set, capable of tackling just about any task in pre-production, the heat of a shoot, or the editing bay. They directed the 2024 documentary The Pressure of Conformity.

Joseph Boevingloh first started editing videos in 2013, at the age of 15, and went on to study Film, Television and Video Production at Webster University. He edited Tanner's two most successful college films, The Cardinals Fan (2018) and Diagnosis (2019), and spent his senior year interning with the St. Louis Blues.

A St. Louis based cinematographer who also knows editing and basically everything else you'd need to know on a film set. His experience includes Tin Box, Inside, and Aerobics. When he's not on Bomb Squad projects, he's probably working with Films by Bell, his wedding film and photo company.

An Illinois-based filmmaker, visual artist, and a literal one-man crew, handling everything from acting, directing, and writing to cinematography, editing, visual effects, and sound mixing. For Bomb Squad, Cody is the ultimate utility player, on set or in post.

An award-winning, St. Louis-based writer, director, and producer who tackles a bit of everything across narrative films, documentaries, and commercial sets. A corporate project she wrote for Lifetime Media went on to win a Mid-America Regional Emmy.
