Tanner Richard Craft

Tanner Richard Craft first became interested in the world of content creation when he was 15, and wanted to make gaming videos like the Let's Players he admired on YouTube. He got the equipment for it, and despite repeated attempts to do it, he never got off the ground running and eventually abandoned the idea. When he was 16, he watched a movie called Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance). This on top of the love he already had for his high school drama class made him realize he wanted to be an actor. Plans, of course, didn't work out very cleanly. When he auditioned for Webster University's conservatory, he didn't make it. He still went to the school, intending to be a computer science major. But the call for creating was strong, and after a year he switched over to Webster's Film program.

Tanner hit the ground running. In his second semester he directed and starred in The Cardinals Fan (2018), which made a modest festival run and won him his first award. Just a year later he directed Diagnosis (2019), which went on a global festival run and won several awards. Later that same year, he produced the award-winning Tin Box (2019) (dir. Andy Compton). Most recently he released Processing...(2023) a deeply personal short film that he also stars in.

Tanner's fun, enthusiastic can-do attitude brings a lot of energy to Bomb Squad Productions, and he couldn't be more happy to be here. For Bomb Squad, Tanner primarily does producing, directing, writing, acting, and is the primary host of Bomb Squad Matinee

When he isn't making movies, Tanner loves taking photos. What started as a hobby became a business, Tanner Richard Craft Photography, and these days he shoots portraits, weddings, and events around St. Louis. You can see his work or hire him through his photography website.
